Since she was a child, Nejra showed a great love for all animals, but horses were always at the top of her list. She made her first riding steps when she was 8 years old in a small centre called “Dapple Gray“, where she volunteered for 14 years and cherished her passion for this sport and animals. She joined the Pegasos team in 2013, which is where she became acquainted with the therapeutic riding program, that later on became her main interest. Today, Nejra is a riding instructor, as well as one of the key elements for “Riders of Hope“. She has made a connection with the children, and the horses enjoy her love too whenever she is around them.

Jelena's life-long ambition has been to merge all the interests closest to her heart and work at a place which she often refers to as "the oasis of peace and happiness." Even as a child in primary school, Jelena knew that she would become a physiotherapist. During her secondary education she wanted to be a professor, but while she was at university, she realized that working with children was the most fulfilling calling for her. As a wholehearted aficionado of nature and animals, especially dogs and horses, she was presented with an opportunity to bring all her ambitions together under a single roof. With her years-long experience in pedagogy and physiotherapy, at the beginning of 2021, Jelena officially joined the team of the Riders of Hope as a physiotherapy counselor and a program leader for the purpose of development of hippotherapy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
